We are always very pleased to get feedback from our participating student artists. Their thoughts and reflections on how one of our events has gone are of great importance to us in assessing the success of our workshops. The most recent workshop with Cecil Rice highlighted a fairly common desire to spend more time outdoors working ‘en plein air’.
In view of this we are planning to make a number of painting excursions outdoors in Venice this year. Studio facilities will be available to us throughout the course as they were last year so that it will be possible to develop and appraise paintings indoors as well as capture fresh and immediate impressions outside. There is a considerable advantage in this two-edged approach, which echoes the way many professional artists approach their painting trips. It gives us the greatest flexibility and adaptability, weather-wise
Don’t forget to register your interest for the event scheduled for early June, 2017, exact programme soon to be advised.
